The Compassionate Friends (TCF) Northwest Coast Chapter is one of over 660 chapters across the United States, in Puerto Rico and Guam, and serves communities from Klamath, CA to Port Orford, OR. TCF is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving those who have suffered the death of a child, grandchild, brother or sister. We hold monthly meetings where the bereaved can discuss their grief with others who understand, and learn about survival from those further from their loss. The Northwest Coast chapter also offers a library of grief books, pamphlets and a bi-monthly newsletter for the bereaved. We hold three annual events, including on the second Sunday of every December, our annual Candle Lighting program in memory of our loved ones. We also offer assistance to others who wish to help the bereaved. Our Chapter Advisory Board assists the bereaved by informing them about our local TCF chapter and offering to refer us to those in need
