Positive change for thriving communities.
Oregon Coast Community Action has been serving the South Coast for over 50 years. During that time we have seen incredible changes in the economy and life in Coos and Curry Counties. Throughout those changes, ORCCA has changed as well but, always with the goal of serving those in need.
ORCCA looks to provide three critical functions:
- We are the “safety net” for many residents. When all else fails, social services organizations refer their constituents to ORCCA as a last attempt at assistance.
- We are a flexible and adaptive organization that attempts to lift people out of poverty. We offer a variety of programs and are able to bundle services (e.g. housing and food) as well as use flexible funding to move people out of poverty.
- We are a voice for those in need within our communities. Whether it be services for children, food for the hungry or housing for the homeless we are an advocate for services at the local, state and national level. Most importantly, we do not do it alone. We are partners and collaborators with government agencies, foundations, other non-profits and individuals in our communities. Without those partnerships we would not succeed — thank you.
