The Redfish Rocks Team Community team is comprised of a diverse group of citizens, including fishermen, business owners, conservationists, and elected officials, all of whom share a common goal of supporting the successful designation of Redfish Rocks Research Marine Reserve and Marine Protected Area. The current work of the Team is focused on collaborating with the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife (ODFW) to develop management and monitoring plans for the marine reserve and marine protected area. This includes developing site-specific goals, biological and socioeconomic monitoring plans, and strategies for education, outreach and compliance enforcement. Through collaborating with ODFW, the Team is helping to bring a strong community voice to the task of managing Port Orford’s ocean resources
