The Port Orford Jubilee is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity with the goal of promoting our local town and economy through festivals and events. Formed in the early 1900’s and previously called The Agate Festival, the organization many years later became the Port Orford Jubilee and has operated under the name for close to 50 years.
The historic July 4th celebration, the Jubilee’s primary venue, continues to be Port Orford’s largest single yearly event. Together with the car show, fundraising dinners & feeds, as well as other existing upcoming events, the Jubilee creates a tourism and activity boost in our community throughout the year. These functions dramatically help our local economy while supporting LOCAL Port Orford businesses and residents. The Jubilee is currently run by a 5 member volunteer elected board of directors, and meets numerous times throughout the year. Funding is primarily through fundraisers & events, grant funding from the Port Orford Transient Lodging Tax (TLT) ordinance, as well as many generous sponsorships & donations from our area businesses and residents.
