The Kalmiopsis Audubon Society has 400 members in Curry County who care about the environment, with a focus on conservation of habitat for bird, fish, wildlife, and native plants. Started by local citizens in 1980, Kalmiopsis Audubon is an independent grassroots conservation advocacy and educational organization that depends on members for support and engagement. Our Audubon Chapter has the highest per capita participation of any Audubon chapter in Oregon.
Kalmiopsis Audubon works in three main areas: Advocacy, Outreach/Education, and Citizen Science.
