Volunteer Opportunities:

Our volunteers are valuable assets to the library and the general community, and there are many ways to lend a hand. Our volunteers shelve books, deliver materials to the home-bound, assist with children’s activities and crafts preparation, organize our paperback exchange shelf, and so much more.

Friends of the Library:

The goal of the Friends of the Chetco Community Public Library is to promote public support, community awareness, and use of the library facilities and materials. The Friends support the services of the library by raising money through the semi-annual Book Sale and operating the Friends of the Library Bookstore in the Library Annex, in addition to other fundraising activities.  Currently, the Friends’ main focus has been to provide extra funding for children’s programs and services.

If you would like to donate your time to the Friends of the Library through fundraising events or assisting at the bookstore, please request an application at the circulation desk.

Memorial Gifts:

Patrons may present gifts to the library to honor friends and loved ones. These gifts can take many forms: a book, new equipment for the library, or a monetary donation to purchase items and book(s) of your choosing. Endowment Fund:

Investing monetary donations received from the community, the Chetco Community Public Library Endowment Fund provides supplemental income which is used both to enhance existing library services and to provide for desired services not covered by the general library budget. Donations to the Endowment Fund are tax-deductible.
