Curry Historical Society is an all volunteer organization. Our goal is to promote interest in the history of Curry County,OR & it’s surrounding areas on the S.W. Oregon coast.
Incorporated in 1966 as Siskiyou West,our current name was adopted in 1974. Our mission to encourage the study& understanding of Curry County continues to present, by collecting, preserving, exhibiting& publishing materials of an historic nature.
It’s an active organization, providing community& educational events for all ages. We offer research requests for those searching information on their pioneer ancestors or our community’s history.
Curry County is still remembered as the last of the Oregon frontier. Stop in for a visit to a place “Where History Lives”
